Interim Vice President of Head Start and Early Childhood Programs
Leroy Lee serves as the Interim Vice President of Head Start and Early Childhood Programs, bringing over 25 years of experience in infrastructure management, facilities operations, early childhood program administration, and public service leadership.
Before his current role, Mr. Lee was Associate Vice President for Facilities and Field Services at the Hinds County Human Resource Agency, where he managed facility operations at the agency’s Head Start centers. He also served as Facilities Maintenance Superintendent for the Hinds County Board of Supervisors, overseeing county facility operations, environmental compliance, fleet maintenance, and capital improvement projects.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Lee held leadership roles with the Jackson Municipal Airport Authority as Maintenance Manager and with the City of Jackson Department of Public Works as Infrastructure Manager and Project Construction Manager, managing major infrastructure operations, construction projects, and multimillion-dollar budgets. He began his professional career at Jackson State University as Assistant Project Manager and Facilities Coordinator, supporting campus construction projects and facilities management operations.
Mr. Lee is a graduate of Lanier High School and earned both a Master of Science in Technology Education and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology from Jackson State University. He is actively involved in professional and civic organizations and remains deeply committed to public service and community development.
