Tarsha Henderson joined HCHRA in 1997. She assumed the role of Chief Financial Officer in 2022. She has over 22 years of experience in auditing, budgeting, and accounting.

Tarsha attended Alcorn State University, receiving a bachelor’s degree in accounting.

Tarsha joined the Agency in 1997 as a Fiscal Clerk. Before she was appointed Chief Financial Officer in October 2022, she was named Interim CFO upon the retirement of long-time CFO Alfred Junior, under whose leadership she also served as Deputy Chief Financial Officer (DCFO), Director of Budgets & Accounting, and Staff Accountant, totaling nearly 22 years of experience and leadership in the management and operation of the Agency’s financial affairs.

Tarsha brings to her new position a wealth of experience in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of HCHRA’s financial reporting. She has proven herself to be an asset to this Agency and instrumental in ensuring that we operate per Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and Agency standards.
