From job skills guidance to health and safety, our Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) offers training, referrals, and assistance for low-income families in need. The CSBG Program provides a holistic approach by working with the entire household to relieve poverty and to lift individuals out of poor living conditions across Hinds County.

Program Details
Eligibility:
Qualification is based on the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Income Guideline, which is set annually. You must visit https://virtualroma.mdhs.ms.gov/, click on the “Virtual Roma Pre Application,” and complete the pre-application. This information will be sent to the Hinds County Human Resource Agency Department of Family Opportunities (DFO). A DFO staff member will determine your eligibility based on income and the information supplied.
Dates and Times:
Orientation is held every Saturday (excluding holidays) at 8:45 a.m. at the Central Office Location (258 Maddox Rd., Jackson, MS 39212). Please call (601) 923-3950 for appointments.
