Hinds County Human Resource Agency (HCHRA) provides rural transportation services for anyone living in Bolton, Byram, Clinton, Edwards, Raymond, Terry and Utica, Mississippi.  The Agency focuses on assisting the elderly and disabled; however, our transportation services are available for anyone in rural Hinds County (living in Bolton, Byram, Clinton, Edwards, Raymond, Terry and Utica).

Costs range from just $1.00 to $2.50 per trip.

DOES HCHRA PROVIDE TRANSPORTATION FROM RURAL AREAS IN HINDS COUNTY?
Yes. Through the Section 5311 Rural General Public Transportation Program, citizens living in rural areas of Hinds County are provided a safe, reliable, and accessible means of transportation. Service areas include Bolton, Byram, Clinton, Edwards, Raymond, Terry and Utica.

WHAT DOES IT COST TO USE THE RURAL TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM?
Seniors pay $1.00 one-way, $2.00 round trip; Non-Seniors pay $2.50 one-way, $5.00 round trip. All trips must originate in rural Hinds County.

WHAT ARE THE HOURS OF OPERATION?
Transportation is available Monday-Friday 6:00a.m. – 6:00p.m.

IS THERE A TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM FOR SENIORS?
Yes. The Title XX Transportation Program helps elderly and disabled residents maintain independence by providing transportation throughout the county. The trip cost $1.50 one-way, $3.00 round trip.

WHAT ARE THE HOURS FOR THE TITLE XX TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM?
We operate Monday-Friday, between 9:00a.m. – 1:00p.m.
