From 106 classrooms, HCHRA staff attends to the developmental needs of more than 2,000 children.
Hinds County Human Resource Agency — Project Head Start is now accepting applications for the 2012 – 2013 school year. Eligible children must be 3, but not yet 5 by September 1st.
All classrooms are internet-ready and are staffed by teachers with degrees in early childhood education. Transportation is provided to children at designated Head Start centers. An Early Head Start Program, for eligible pregnant teens and newborns to age three within Hinds County, is also available. Parents of children with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
